When we say "grass", what is the first thing will come to our mind? Marijuana, tobacco?
Is grass bad?
Of course not!
Then, Why?
Simply because, The Word created it.
"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so." (Genesis 1:11)
"And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:12)The Word saw that grass was good.
That is cool and great news! If God created the grass, then, it is good also that we take marijuana, cigarettes and other drugs made from grasses?
Hey, hey, hey! The Word does not make that statement! Remember this verses where The Word cited about mans inventions,
"Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions." (Ecclesiastes 7:29)Yes, all things are good and lawful but not all are accepted by the body.
"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." (1 Corinthians 6:12)If you are brought under the power of man made invented grass drugs, it can be resulted on "addictions".
Grass made by The Word for good purposes and not for evil intentions.
There are type of grass that can be a good medicine for wounds and infections, there are grass also effective cure for cough and phlegm.
Example of grass that are beneficial to our daily life and health
- Jute is a type of plant fiber used to make common
items such as rope, twine, chair coverings, curtains, sacks, hessian cloth,
carpets, and even the backing used on linoleum.
- Oregano use as an antiseptic, as well as a cure for
stomach and respiratory ailments.
- Tobacco (needless to say you don't smoke it) in some part of
the countries dried tobacco leaves used to mix with coconut oils and cure for
skin infections and other related skin diseases.
"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is castinto the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? " (Matthew 6:28-30)Grass are created by The Word to take care our body and not to take
pleasure for the flesh or to break and abuse our
body. God forbid man to destroy the body or the temple, anyone who defile Gods
work, God will defile them also.
"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Corinthians 3:17)That is why anything dangerous to our health and body was unlawful and
forbidden by The Word.
Grass are good if we use it in spiritual way, but grass are harmful
and dangerous if use it in wrong way.
