Why The Word said,
Always remember that God's judgment are different from man.
When we say that we are doing good on others and doing nice things in front of people, it doesn't necessarily mean that we are righteous in front of God.
Walking in your own thoughts are not good in front of God and thinking on your own way is rebellious in God's eye, that's why we can feel pain and suffer sickness because all are sinners and made mistakes by doing good only in man's eye.
Don't say to yourself that you are not doing anything wrong and still God gave you sickness. Well, that's the point, by thinking of that kind of stuff you are doing it wrong and you are making a sin.
Sin are the reason why man die but these sins can be cleanse by our sickness or by God's chastening. Prayer is one of the most effective way to cleanse dirt on our body. Dirt is the sin infected in our flesh and only God can cleanse that dirt if we ask faithfully in God to remove it through our prayer and by reading inspirational Christian quotes and teachings.
