Third Spiritual Law - The Third (3rd) Commandment - Don't Swear, Shorten your Words!

"Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain."
(Exodus 20:7)

You know that saying the word "god damn" is the basic meaning of the 3rd commandments on old testament. But when our Lord Jesus Christ came, He gave deeper translation about what the third commandments means spiritually.

"Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil."
(Matthew 5:33-37)

"And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD."
(Leviticus 19:12)

In short, don't make any promises that you can't do and make your mouth speak few. The third spiritual law teach on how to dicipline the mouth and tongue.

"Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay."
(Ecclesiastes 5:2-5)

The best example on this are politicians, they will promise anything just to get your votes. A liar marketeer will also swear that you'll be rich overnight. All of them belong to this law.

If you will not control your mouth from saying non-sense and un-Biblical, you will fall under the third spiritual commandment.
